RENISHAW PARTIAL ARC OPTICAL ENCODERS

The Renishaw flexible linear encoder scale has a small cross-sectional area and can be wound around a curved surface to measure arc rotation. This type of scale comes with a self-adhesive tape on the back for installation.

These flexible scales are compatible with Renishaw's open optical encoders and can be used for both absolute and incremental measurements.

The absolute encoders can immediately decode its current position without any motion.

The incremental grating ruler can only detect motion relative to its current position or a known reference feature.
